ONE FC's Eddie Ng is one of the better up-and-coming lightweight talents in the world. Also known as "The Magician," Ng taught himself Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu through the use of instructional videos and books. While that might not seem unusual for newcomers to the sport, Ng won a 2011 world title in BJJ. The gifted fighter recently spoke to MMAFrenzy's Steve Barnes about a variety of topics including trash talk, training, and chili.

Aaron Simpson went to Arizona State with NFL player and Army Ranger Pat Tillman. Simpson became friends with Pat's brother Kevin, and Pat and Kevin would come to wrestling meets to support Simpson and the other Sun Devil wrestlers.
"I can remember exactly where I was when I found out Pat was killed, and how I handled it, which wasn't good," Simpson told Cagewriter. To honor Tillman and his legacy, Simpson will wear the number 42 on his fight shorts for his bout with Kenny Robertson at UFC on Fuel 4.
"I want people who don't know him to at least give notice to who he was. Look him up. Honor his family, his wife, and bring more viewership to his foundation, the Pat Tillman Foundation."
Tillman surprised the sporting world when left a promising and lucrative NFL career with the Arizona Cardinals to become an Army Ranger after the September 11th attacks. He was killed in a friendly fire incident in Afghanistan on April 22, 2004.
He went to high school in the San Jose area, where Simpson's fight will take place. It seemed like the perfect time for Simpson to honor Tillman. Kevin agreed.
"I texted Kevin, and he said, 'Pat would really appreciate it. Pat would have loved this,'" Simpson said.
"He didn't want to be known for what he did in serving the military. He was the kind of guy that wasn't about himself or bringing recognition to himself or what he did. He was a team player. I don't want to make too big. In a way, it's a kind of personal thing. I just want to remember him."

In Monday's discussion of middleweights looking to inch closer to a shot at Anderson Silva and the championship, two names were not discussed: Mark Munoz and Chris Weidman. Since they already have a fight, they don't need to lobby for the right fight, like Michael Bisping, Alan Belcher and Brian Stann do.
They'll face each other on Wednesday night at UFC on Fuel 4. For Munoz, a win means a shot at Silva.
"With a win over Chris Weidman, I'm going to prove that I should have the title shot," Munoz told MMAjunkie.com Radio.
Weidman told MMA Fighting he is also seeking a title shot. After a lackluster win over Demian Maia in January, he wants to make it crystal clear he deserves the next shot at the belt.
"I'm fighting to make a statement in this fight," he said. "It would be my fifth win in the UFC in a row, I've fought a lot of tough guys, veterans in this sport. I really didn't have any easy fights, so I want to make a statement. I would love a chance against Anderson Silva, I think I really match up good against him, and I mean, I would love a shot, so we'll see. I really just want to make a statement in this fight. I want to make it blatantly obvious that I should be the one fighting Anderson Silva. That's the goal."
Both men have NCAA Division I wrestling backgrounds, though Munoz was a national champion for Oklahoma State while Weidman wrestled for less-acclaimed Hofstra. They are also coming in riding win streaks: four in a row for Munoz and five in a row for Weidman.

I'll admit it. I was suffering from Chael Sonnen fatigue. Though he never fails to give a good soundbite, it's also never apparent if you're hearing from Chael Sonnen the man or Chael Sonnen the character. I am ready for UFC 148 and his fight with Anderson Silva to just get here.
But after watching this video, my Chael fatigue was lifted, and I knew you lovely Cagereaders had to see it.

Three weeks ago, long before the club signed Thiago Motta and Zlatan Ibrahimovic away from AC Milan, PSG were considered fringe contenders for the 2012 – 2013 Champions League title. According to multiple bookmakers, the Parisians faced odds of around 28 to 1 in Europe’s flagship tournament back on July 1.
But what a difference a few weeks can make.

Strikeforce crowned a new champion and held onto another during Strikeforce: Rockhold vs. Kennedy on Saturday night in Portland.
Former UFC contender Nate Marquardt won the vacant Strikeforce welterweight championship with a knockout of Tyron Woodley. Marquardt controlled the stand-up for the first two rounds and held off Woodley's takedown attempts.
In the third round, Woodley knocked Marquardt down, but couldn't finish him immediately. While Woodley was still working on the ground, the referee stood them up. Marquardt made his move in the fourth, hitting Woodley with three upper cuts that knocked Woodley out for the first time in his career.

The judges saw it 49-46 on all three cards for Rockhold, moving his record to 10-1.

Charges against UFC Octagon Girl Arianny Celeste were dropped. She had been charged with domestic abuse stemming from an incident with her then-boyfriend on Memorial Day weekend.
The Las Vegas district attorney's office found there was not enough evidence to warrant a move forward, according to MMA Junkie. Her arrest came the night before UFC 146, forcing her to miss the preliminary card and part of the main card. Celeste did show up for her duties for the final bouts.

We've talked about this fight for nearly two years. The build-up for Chael Sonnen's bout with middleweight champion Anderson Silva has been bigger than for any fight that I can remember. Now, it's almost here, and it's time for you to pick a side.
Pick who you think will the main event and all of the other bouts from the main card of UFC 148:
Champ Anderson Silva vs. Chael Sonnen (for middleweight title)
Forrest Griffin vs. Tito Ortiz
Patrick Cote vs. Cung Le
Dong Hyun Kim vs. Demian Maia
Chad Mendes vs. Cody McKenzie
Mike Easton vs. Ivan Menjivar
Then head to Cagewriter's Facebook page, and tell us who you picked and why you picked them. Select answers will appear on Cagewriter next to picks from Kevin Iole and me.
